My mom, a certified nutritionist, offered a cooking class on how to feed yourself and your child fun, healthy foods. She did a fantastic job and gave out some great easy healthy and exciting recipes. Here is a picture of some of the foods that she made. Dont you want to go to one of her classes?

A Great Wedding Gift - Personalized COOKBOOK
One of my friends had the greatest personalized gift idea for her sister who got married this past weekend. A month before the wedding she emailed all of the invited guests and asked them to email in a recipe and picture. Some of the guests sent pictures of the food, others sent pictures of themselves. My friend took all of the recipes, put them in documents, added borders and printed them. She bought a 8 by 11 scrapbook and put each sheet in to the page protectors and created the best cookbook a bride could ask for.
One suggestion would be that if you dont want the project to be enormous you could invite just the wedding party or immediate family to contribute. I also love that all of the recipes were typed so they will be easy to read. Much better then when everyone writes a recipe card for you.

Ribbon Math
I have always wondered how to figure out the exact amount of ribbon you need for a present.
Well - today my answer was solved.
(Gift box length) x 7 = Length of Ribbon Needed
Love hints like these!

What is this?
Ever have people over for dinner or a party? Are you serving on a buffet or having appetizers out on the table? Do people ask you what a dish is or what it is in it?
Want a simple way to let people know what the dish is? Pick up a couple of placecard holders, use the cork idea from one of my previous blog postings or grab some at a store (crate and barrel).
Write on small notecards or small sheets of colored paper what is in each of the dishes, this way people dont have to feel awkward asking but yet they will know what is in everything.

A Quick Fruity Dessert
Angel Food Cake - Strawberries - Cool Whip
In need of a quick dessert? Need to bring something for a party and dont want it to look store bought?
Run to the store and pick up an angel food cake, strawberries and cool whip. Take a glass bowl that if possible has a flat bottom, if not no big deal. Cut up the angel food cake and the strawberries. Start layering everything into the bowl, cake then berries then cool whip, and do it again and again til it is topped with the berries.
Looks pretty and was quick and easy. Just dont make it too far in advance so it doesnt get soggy!

Happy New Year!
Shana Tovah!
Happy New Year.
So I decided last minute to do new year's cards. I like the way they came out. I had purchased the apples on clearance a long time ago. They are brads so they are punched through the circle paper and then stuck onto the paper post cards (using glue dots).
Hope everyone has a great year!

Cork it!
Having a dinner party?
Need placecards and holders but dont want to buy them. Take old corks and slice them down one side, cut up a sheet of paper and write the guests name on them (about business card size), and then slide the paper into the cork.
They are simple and easy yet add something to the table decor.

Bring a sweet and gift in one!
Housewarming gift... Are your friends registered? Check that first. Go to Crate and Barrel or Bed Bath and Beyond or wherever they are registered. Look on the registry and see if they are registered for cupcake pans, cake carrier, pie dish, sheet pan or a cake plate. Make cookies, pie, cake or cupcakes and deliver them in the dish. Put a bow on the top and you are all set.
If they aren't registered pick up a serving piece and do the same thing. You can never have too many serving pieces.
Always nice to have something sweet in the house!

Creativity has Started!
Hi Everyone -
The idea for this blog started because pretty often someone asks me a question about how to make something more creative. I thought why not let more people have access to my creative ideas while at the same time hopefully learn something from the people that read this and post their creative ideas. I am hoping that this is an opportunity for all kinds of creativity; event and wedding ideas, scrapbooking or card making, ideas for how to appreciate your staff in an economical way, birthday parties made easy, and more...looking forward to being creative!!!
